All About Gouache Painting with Eden Compton

Join us to learn all about Gouache, in this 2 hour workshop taught by well-known painter Eden Compton. It's a super fun water based medium that is easy to use, clean up and transport. Gouache is opaque watercolor and can be used in a variety of ways to create rich and vibrant paintings.  It quickly becomes addictive! There are a few tricks and tips that will make learning this fun medium a bit easier and quicker than trying to learn on your own.   Topics covered will be types of gouache, color mixing, brush handling, paper and supports and suggestions for putting together a good gouache kit for plein air.  Demos and one on one instruction will help take your gouache practice to a new level.  Paper, brushes, palettes and basic sets of gouache will be available but it is recommended to purchase the Japanese Jelly Gouache from Amazon if you think you will want to continue painting with gouache after the workshop.
$55 for LARAC members/$60 for non-members. For all artistic levels.
